We aim to:

* Promote the hall for use to the local community. Produce an annual newsletter which is circulated to local residents listing the hall’s events in date order and providing contact numbers for bookings.

* Fundraise to maintain the hall to its current high standard and to support its operations and to hold an annual auction as part of our fundraising activities.

* Support local groups.

* Support local community events.

The origins of Newton Village Hall pre-date the First World War, although the construction of todays building, dates from the period immediately after the Second World War. For further information check out the following extract taken from ‘A History of Newton Village Hall’ by Bryan Lucas (2003).
